Joanna Hotung
Managing Director

Joanna founded the KG Group in 1996 – inspired by her own children and a desire to see them express themselves through the arts. She has an MBA from Warwick University and a BA from London University. She has also been awarded the University of Cambridge Use of English Certificate with Distinction, and Licentiate Diploma in Speech and Drama from Trinity Guildhall, London, with Distinction. She has been a member of several school and charity councils and boards including Youth Diabetes Action, Playright Children’s Play Association, Hong Kong Ballet, and Bring Me a Book. She has also won several awards including South China Morning Post Women of Our Time and Marie-Claire and Jessica magazine awards.

Wendy Ip
Director, Kids' Gallery

Wendy was the first teacher at Kids’ Gallery at its founding in 1996, and is now Director! For the past 21 years, she has been working passionately to inspire children in art, and you can easily recognise her with a warm smile at our various centres. She has a BA in Art and Design with a major in Painting and Drawing from the Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Sheffield, UK. She is also studying for her Diploma in Early Childhood Education. A keen artist herself, Wendy has contributed to many group exhibitions.

Donner Lee
Director, Face Productions

The multi-talented Donner teaches across several areas at Kids’ Gallery and is also Director of Face Productions. She holds a BA in Dance and Art from the University of Surrey, England, where she studied Choreography, Movement Therapy, Dance Performance, and the History and Analysis of Dance. She also holds qualifications from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance in Tap, Modern Dance, Classical Ballet, Scottish and Irish Dance, and has a Gold Medal from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (Speaking Verse and Poetry).

Claire Johnson
Head of Department, Performing Arts

Claire is a highly experienced dance teacher and choreographer, having taught all forms of dance at various academies in the UK and Hong Kong for more than eight years. She holds the ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction qualifications in Classical Ballet, Modern Theatre, and Tap Dance, and has also undertaken LAMDA Drama and Trinity College Singing exams. A keen dancer herself, Claire has extensive performance experience including in UK theatre and TV appearances. Her outstanding choreographic skills are always on display at Kids’ Gallery and Face Productions shows.

Roy Rolloda
Deputy Head of Department, Performing Arts

Inspirational teacher Roy graduated from San Beda College, Philippines with a BA in Philosophy and Letters and is a professional performer and concert artist. He has headlined a string of musical theatre productions around Asia and the USA and was a principal vocalist for a major theme park in Hong Kong and also performed in Broadway-calibre shows aboard luxury cruise liners around the world. Roy has many years of experience working in creative education and has taught acting and musical theatre in reputable theatre companies in Manila, as well as language and performing arts schools in Hong Kong.

Michelle Tam
Head of Department, Visual Arts and Outreach Manager

A well known face at Kids’ Gallery, Michelle teaches many courses with her particular passion for expressive communication and developing confidence in children. She graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, with an MA in Education, and also holds a BA in Art History and Education. She also gained extensive experience working with children at the Reading Recovery Clinic at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where she helped children with reading difficulties. She is a specialist in the University of West London’s LCM exams.

Annie Fan
Deputy Head of Department, Visual Arts

Annie recently obtained an MA in Early Childhood Education at the Chinese University of Hong Kong to add to her BA in Art and Design in Education from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also holds a Higher Diploma in Graphic Design from the Hong Kong Technical College. As if this isn’t accomplishment enough, she is also a qualified and experienced multimedia designer. Annie is a highly experienced art teacher who has worked in several schools and centres in Hong Kong.

Candice Caalsen
Manager, Face Productions

Vivacious and talented Candice graduated from the Stage World Theatre School, South Africa, with a certificate in Performing Arts, specialising in Musical Theatre. She was awarded a medal for outstanding achievement in her Trinity College of London Musical Theatre certificate, and actively participated in various musicals on the Port Elizabeth Stage. Candice has taught Drama and English to various age groups across Asia, including in Thailand and Hong Kong. A keen performer, she is a frequent presence on the Hong Kong stage starring in shows from pantomimes to musicals.

Andrew Swift

Andrew graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Master of Journalism specialising in broadcasting, and also holds a BA in Musical Theatre Performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, UK. Andrew trained in Musical Theatre with the National Youth Music Theatre of Great Britain. As a performer he has had lead roles on London's West End and has appeared several times as a guest actor with the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre. Andrew has taught performing arts to children for many years, specialising in musical theatre performance. He has worked extensively as both a singing and speech coach both for children and adults. 

Boaz Chan

Boaz is a performer in his own right and has appeared on the Hong Kong stage, including in our Face Productions’ own musical Hairspray. He graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a BA in English, and has taught English and Drama at various educational centres and schools around Hong Kong. He is skilled at unleashing and developing children's talents and passions in the performing arts, and has extensive experience in training students for the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival and other performance events.

Daniel Felix-Johnson

Daniel is both an experienced performer and director, and has directed many shows for charity and the Hong Kong community. He graduated with a BA in Drama from Aberystwyth University, Wales, and also holds a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Daniel has over five years of teaching experience gained in Hong Kong and England, teaching Drama, English, and Public Speaking.

Deirdre McCloskey

Deirdre graduated with an MA in Fine Arts from Glasgow School of Art, UK and a BA in Fine Arts from Central St Martin's College of Art, London, UK. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Strathclyde, UK. She has over 20 years of experience teaching children and youth in the UK and Hong Kong, originally specialising in drawing, painting, and sculpture, and she is a curriculum development expert. She has exhibited her own work in the UK, France, Ireland, and the USA.

Enrico (Eric) Narvaez

Hugely popular among our youngest students, Eric has a degree in Broadcast Communication and is an accomplished singer, songwriter, composer, and musical arranger across several musical genres, including classical, pop, and jazz. He has taught music at several schools, and worked as musical director for many organisations and productions, including all our Kids’ Gallery and Face Productions shows. He plays the piano, guitar, bass, and drums to professional standard, and is a qualified record and audio engineer.

Georgina Li

Georgina explores her passion for the arts through a variety of local musicals, plays, events, short films, and music videos. She graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts with a BFA in Theatre and Entertainment Arts, and also holds a RAD Classical Ballet Grade 8 certificate. Her teaching experience includes working with young dancers and children with special educational needs in Hong Kong.

Joanne Kwan

Joanne graduated from Birmingham City University, UK with a BA in Fine Art, majoring in painting, and she also holds a BTEC Diploma in Art and Design. Her passions are painting and ceramics and she has experience in curating art exhibitions in the UK. She is enthusiastic about teaching young children and hopes to inspire them with her passion for creative arts.

Kiki Lam

Kiki graduated from the Northern Sydney Institute Hornsby College TAFE, Australia, with a Diploma in Fine Art, and a Certificate in Design Fundamentals. She has previous experience in teaching art, English, and Playgroup in various learning centres and kindergartens across Hong Kong.

Lilly Wu

Lilly lives to dance, and she has taught different age groups in Hong Kong and the UK, focusing on all-rounded development and integration of emotional, cognitive, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of the self. She graduated with an MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy from the University of Derby, UK, and is a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist with the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy, UK. She also holds a BA in Fine Arts (Dance), majoring in Ballet and minoring in Dance Education from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She was awarded a Distinction in the RAD Advanced I Exam, and has achieved Grade 8 level in both ABRSM Piano and Violin.

Mee Mee Cheung

Mee Mee graduated from the University of Salford, England, with a BSc in Music & Media Management. She also holds a diploma in Performing Arts and Popular Music Performance, and has a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. She is an experienced teacher and practitioner, and has helped to produce numerous entertainment-related events and creative workshops in the UK, USA, and Hong Kong.

Megan Van Wyk

Megan graduated from the Stageworld Theatre School, South Africa, with a Diploma in Musical Theatre. She also holds a level 4 Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre and a level 4 Diploma in Performing Speech and Drama from Trinity College London. As a professional actor and theatre-maker, Megan has performed in, written, directed, and devised theatrical productions on stages across South Africa. She has a passion for teaching a range of theatre disciplines to young people, and has conducted drama training to students at some of the top private schools in South Africa.

Povis Law

Povis holds a BA in Communication Design from the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Canada and is also a trained and talented illustrator and graphic designer. She has experience teaching art at various studios in Hong Kong, and dedicates her enthusiasm and creativity to teaching art to children.

Rachel Harina

Rachel graduated with a BA in Media Culture and Practice from the University of West England, UK, and an AA in Creative Media from HKU Space Community College. She developed a passion for musical theatre from an early age, being heavily involved with drama, dance, and choir. She was previously a part-time Assistant Teacher at Kids’ Gallery, and she strives to inspire young children's interest towards self-improvement through creative activities. 

Sky Suen

Sky graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts majoring in Musical Theatre, and also attended the New York Broadway Dance Centre. She holds an RAD Classical Ballet Grade 8 certificate, and has taught a wide range of dance styles and choreographed numerous productions for children, helping to develop their presentation and interpersonal skills. Sky has more then eight years of teaching experience gained in Hong Kong and New York, and is a confident communicator and performer, helping students to develop confidence and self-esteem. Sky has won multiple awards for her performances and enjoys sharing her passion and talent with others.

Stellina Wong

Stellina has eight years of teaching experience working in arts education in Indonesia and Hong Kong. She graduated from the Digital Studio of Graphic Design, Indonesia with a Higher Diploma in Graphic Design. As recognition of her strong teaching skills, she has been awarded the best art teacher award from several local and international drawing competitions, and is passionate about working with and inspiring children.

Teresa Luk

Teresa graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, with an MA in Dance, and holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Hong Kong Baptist University. In recognition of her achievements within Ballet,she has been awarded the RAD Classical Ballet Advanced 2 and Grade 8 awards. Teresa has over 10 years experience teaching ballet and has participated in various ballet performances throughout Hong Kong.

Veronica Chan

Among Veronica’s diverse artistic skills are her talents as a creative hair stylist and make-up artist. Our students are often amazed by the stunning hairstyles she creates for them at the many Kids’ Gallery shows! Veronica graduated from the University of British Columbia, Canada, and holds an N1 Level certificate in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

Xenia Ho

Xenia is a skilled jewellery maker, an activity which stems from her love for art and design. She studied at Staffordshire University, UK, and graduated with a BA in Design Crafts. She also holds a BTEC National Diploma in General Art and Design, a Diploma in Computer Graphic Design, and a City & Guilds Certificate in Furniture Making. Xenia particularly enjoys teaching young children and is skilled in using different materials for craftwork.
